“Moments of Joy” Captures the Journey of Childhood Cancer

Aflac and Chispa House capture the raw emotions and moments of joy kids with cancer face through the eyes of the children, families and caregivers in the new film, “Moments of Joy.” These kids and families are truly inspiring.

Three CMN Hospitals 2019 National Champions – Audrey, Benjamin, and Kaylee – are featured in the film. Their stories are emotional, inspiring, and hopeful.

All the children featured in the film are patients at their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Every day, CMN Hospitals treat 2,218 kids for cancer.

The film features My Special Aflac Duck and highlights the impact that the robotic companion has on children during their cancer journey. My Special Aflac Duck comforts the patients, helps them communicate their emotions, and can serve as a distraction during procedures.

At the premiere of “Moments of Joy” at The Atlantic Festival in Washington, D.C., the stars walked the gold carpet and were welcomed with enthusiastic applause from the audience.

The film debuted during Childhood Cancer Awareness month as part of Aflac’s ongoing commitment to pediatric cancer. “Moments of Joy” can be viewed at Aflac.com/joy. Visit http://cmnh.co/joy to support your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
