Frederick Loves Lucy Goosie

Frederick is an active 4-year-old who loves his two cats, dinosaurs and cars. Diagnosed with stage 3 high-risk neuroblastoma, he and his family drive 7 hours round-trip to Children’s for treatment and follow-up appointments. Helping Frederick to endure the pain, bring comfort and pass the time on the long journey is his My Special Aflac Duck, “Lucy Goosie.” Frederick gives the duck shots, feeds it medicine and has duck parties with his friends who have cancer diagnoses and ducks of their own. #ChildrensHospitalsWeek
